  • Tom Albanese, CEO of Rio Tinto since 2007, has had a couple of rough years. The acquisition of Alcan in 2007 happened on his watch and the deal did not meet expectations (so Albanese waived his bonus entitlement of $2.97m in 2010). Rio Tinto is also going down world copper production rankings, due to a dip in copper ore grades in 2011. Will Albanese be able to get his “magic charm” back?
