The Group has around 200 subsidiaries and associated companies and has been structured into the business units of Strip Steel, Plate/Section Steel, Mannesmann, Trading and Technology since 2014. The company was formerly known as Preussag Stahl AG and changed its name to Salzgitter AG in 1998.
